Callaway’s Big Bertha OS irons belong in the super game improvement category would have been almost impossible to produce commercially a few years ago due to the technology and construction that goes into them.
The main body of the club is the secret to its success. It reminds us of scaffolding that's used to hold up buildings but it's proper title in this instance is 'Exocage' It gives the club a hollow, skeletal structure to create an extremely lightweight, hollow body. This free up weight that can be placed strategically around the club head to maximise forgiveness and distance. This weight appears as tungsten implants in the heel and toe that differ depending on the iron in play and the CG location required. Finally, the clubs feature an extra thin face that gives great ball speed from anywhere on the face.
