Peter Finch Raids The Golfbidder Warehouse To Find The Perfect Putter
Peter Finch has been having problems with his putting, so we let him raid our warehouse to find the perfect putter to put in his bag. In this video Peter puts 12 putters to the test so he can finally master his putting skills.
Choosing his putters
After arriving at Golfbidder HQ Peter went straight to picking his putters. Firstly Peter’s eyes caught a few Scotty Cameron putters, afterwards he went straight to the TaylorMade’s, picking a few of them up to test. He then selected out a Redwood putter from Ping and multiple Odysseys. Here is the full list of putters that caught Peter Finch’s eye.
TaylorMade Spider X putter
|Ping Redwood Piper S putter
|Scotty Cameron Select Newport 3 putter
|Ping Sigma G Tess putter
|Ping 2021 Oslo H putter
|Odyssey Tri-hot 5k Three putter
|TaylorMade Spider Blade 12 putter
|Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5 putter
|Ping Tyne Anser 2 PLD Milled Satin putter
Putting the clubs to the test:
Peter wastes no time ruling out four putters at the London Club, ruling them out by their looks. If you don’t love the look of your putter, you won’t enjoy putting as much which will inevitably affect your game.
He then tested the feel of the remaining eight putters blindfolded! After a few hours wearing a blindfold, he was left with the final four putters.
Peter then went to Formby Ladies Golf Club to put the final four to the test. These four clubs were the: Odyssey White Hot OG Stroke Lab 2-Ball putter, Scotty Cameron 2018 Select Newport 3 putter, TaylorMade Spider Tour Black putter and the Odyssey Tri-hot 5k Three putter.
For the final test, Peter tested the final four shortlisted putters in a competition against three golfers from different distances from around the green, making the final selection a lot easier.
Peter realised that his pace control with the harder inserts isn’t that great but also the most pressurised putts are always the short ones. So, Peter wanted something that he can line up very easily so that he can strike with the center of the face.
He is now left with two putters and puts them to the test by making a monster putt with the Odyssey White Hot OG Stroke Lab 2-Ball putter, finally discovering the perfect putter for his bag.
We are sure Peter will be nailing putts from any distance around the green with his brand-new putter from Golfbidder HQ.
After 3 years of waiting, fans of Rick Shiels and Peter Finch finally got to watch the YouTube stars make their way around Golfbidder HQ, the home of pre-owned clubs, to pick out their £500 bags filled with quality used clubs.
A regulation course with a par of 72 allows for half of those shots to be putts. Yet for some unknown reason, we don't give putting the attention it deserves - spending hours on the driving range and then five minutes on the putting green.
