Cobra King Tec Golf Irons Steel
The new KING TEC irons, which are aimed at 0-12 handicaps looking for the ultimate player’s distance iron, feature newly refined shaping with a shortened blade length, softened topline, “tucked toe", and updated PW with a flattened topline and straighter leading edge. Improved feel is provided through a 5-step forged hollow clubhead construction and enhanced foam microspheres that fill the clubhead and dampen vibration for improved acoustics without sacrificing the feedback better players desire.
While other forged irons have traditionally used a four-step process, COBRA® utilizes a fifth forging strike to deliver unmatched soft feel and precise shaping.Cobra King Tec Golf Irons Steel
While other forged irons have traditionally used a four-step process, COBRA® utilizes a fifth forging strike to deliver unmatched soft feel and precise shaping. The forging process begins by heating carbon steel billets to 1200-degree Celsius. The billets are then Rough Forged three times (steps 1-3), a process in which the metal is bent and forged to form the rough shaping of an iron head. Step Four involves applying 1200 tons of pressure at 800-degrees Celsius to each rough clubhead, refining the shapes and placing detail lines and logos. During the final fifth step, each iron head is subjected to 2000 tons of pressure at 700-degrees Celsius, forming an extremely uniform grain structure. After cooling, each clubhead is polished and made ready for the faces and grooves to be precision milled using a CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machine.
Built with a Forged PWRSHELL face insert with H.O.T Face Variable Thickness Geometry that is thinner and more robust, the new KING TEC irons produce more rebound for faster speed at impact and longer distance. For added forgiveness, 20g of tungsten is placed in the low heel area of the clubhead to minimize clubhead twisting at impact. A progressive construction design features tungsten in the 4-7 irons for improved launch and carry while the 8-GW are tungsten-free for a slightly more penetrating trajectory and enhanced accuracy in the scoring zone.
The KING TEC Irons are designed to inspire a better ball striking experience. Featuring a 5-step forged body and face, and refined shaping, these irons deliver true feel and better player looks with all of the forgiveness you need.
REFINED PLAYERS SHAPING- Experience unrivalled ball-striking through a sleeker and refined shape featuring a thinner topline and reduced offset that inspires precision and playability.
IMPROVED FEEL: 5-STEP FORGED HOLLOW CONSTRUCTION WITH SOFTER FOAM- Each TEC iron is crafted from 1025 carbon steel and precision-forged 5 times to deliver soft, player-preferred feel. A hollow body design is filled with a new foam that is lighter and softer to enhance feel and feedback.Read more...
