About Ping G5i Ug-Le

Ping G5i Ug-Le Putter. New for 2006. High-tech polyurethane materials are used to produce the advanced dual durometer insert in the face of the new Ping G5i range. The combination of the soft back insert and firm impact surface provides optimal sound and feel for ultimate performance. Ping G5i putters are approximately 10% more forgiving than previous models. Alignment is improved with a ball-width, crescent-shaped top rail and a new Optigraphic Alignment System installed in the back of each model.

This has worked a treat for increasing the confidence over those 5ft putts that can make the difference between an OK round and a good round -certainly my 3 putts per round have dropped. I found it very easy to align and to keep the stroke straight.

I found the Ug-Le's head heavier than many of the putters I picked up, which helps keep it stable and encourages a smooth stroke. The simple, single line alignment aid makes it easy to line up with the mark on the ball and the face insert gives it a responsive feel. The only drawback for me has been on very windy days when the large head can get blown about a bit...but then so does everything else on those days!

The putters face is not to hard and not to soft so i give it 10/10, The Cavity I give 9/10 as it improves your accuracy by 99.9% but not every putt is perfect but that is me n not the club. Weight of the club is kind of heavy but check out the size of that head!
