About Ping Rapture V2 Hybrid

Ping Rapture V2 Hybrid - 'ideal for getting the ball out of the rough'. New for 2009 Season - Ping have a lot of work to do to improve on the current Rapture hybrid but they reckon they've cracked it with the Ping Rapture V2. The design of the Ping Rapture V2 hybrid rescue club is a result of Ping's focus on multi-metal technology that has combined the key properties of the materials for optimal performance. SCIENCE ALERT...The Ping Rapture V2 hybrid is built in steel with a tungsten alloy sole delivering an optimal centre of gravity for a higher launch angle, which together with the relief of the sole ensures enhanced playability. Put simply, the tungsten sole positions the weight in the lower areas of the club to help you get the ball up in the air. The Ping Rapture V2 also has a longer face profile that has expanded the hitting area to provide greater forgiveness for all levels of player.

But while the theory all seems mighty impressive, where it counts…the ball flies off the clubface great and the launch angle is on the high side, ideal for getting the ball out of the rough.

Purchased this club within days of purchasing the Rapture V2 17 degree Hybrid with Javln shaft - Amazing clubs to hit off the tee and the fairway and compliment my Rapture V2 Driver perfectly. Golfbidder sent a soft regular when the description said regular. True to their claims they sent a swift refund and also since it was their mistake they refunded my return postage. The true mark of a good company is shown by how they respond to the ineviatble occassional mistake and in this regard Golfbidder can be awarded 5 stars.

Bought this club as expected to be very forgiving, found almost impossible to hit without a cut, but rather than build it in I've swapped for a G10 18* (slightly closed face to help my poor old swing!) Golfbidder service excellent as usual.
