Fantastic looking clubs; MP 33's 3-PW. Solid, storng feel. Good shots take off from the clubface, way more power than my cavity backed game improvers. More distance than game improvers. I had been warned off blades as being only for scrath players, but that is rubbish. They make sure you hit it properly every time. Lovely clubs.

So there is this big hoo-ha about how you're not allowed to use blades unless you are a scratch player etc etc. I was asking around for a set of forged blades because I'm enjoying my game at the moment and really just wanted a cheap old second hand set to knock about with and see what its all about. Alot of people I spoke to at various pro shops did that kind of intake of breath and "nah nah, you don't want blades. You want this set of clubs designed for players with a handicap between 15 and 20 forgiveness blahh blahh" thing. Bull!!!! If you have a reasonable swing and you're capable of hitting a golf ball off the centre of the clubface then forget all the nonsense. All I can say is there must be alot of truly awful players out there if we all need clubs that correct our mistakes for us. What about learning to hit the ball properly instead! These were delivered to me today and I went straight down the range. Tentatively started with the PW and it felt fine. Tried the 7 and it felt fine. Did a little fade, did a little draw (which can of course also be done with cavity backs) but then I tried some high and low flighted shots putting the ball back in my stance and forward accordingly. Easy! Maybe I'm just lucky or have a very good swing but it all seemed too easy considering what everyone in the pro shops was telling me. So I went for the ultimate test - the "hard to hit long irons" as they say. No problem whatsoever. Sure I toed and heeled a couple but even those didn't go disasterously wrong. Maybe 20 handicappers like me need to look at their putting and driving or plan their round better and not get so caught up in the forgiveness and easy ball flight of cavity backs. It's so true what they say about the purity of feeling that you get with these clubs. Brilliant. I'm never going back to cavity backs.

Firstly a big thumbs up to Golfbidder for their club quality description. I think they do themselves a disservice however. My 7 rated MP-33's look like they'd be lucky to have half a dozen rounds use in their life. I have been playing Silver Diamond MDC Tour blades (a cheap 'clone' version of the MP-33's) also with S300's for several years. I loved those sticks. Accordingly I am oh so keen to see just how good the real deal is. Man these things are pretty though - simple classy elegance. Like a stunning woman doesn't need make-up & jewelry, quality clubs do not need bells and whistles. True review in a very months.

I adore these irons. I bought them when I really should have bought some 'game improver' irons after moving from some Ping eye 2's, so maybe it was a step too far and i won't lie, it definitely took some time to get used to them, especially the long irons. However, after a few months the confidence grew and I can safely say i've never hit anything like them. Hit them from a tee in the sweetspot and it feels as though the ball was never there and the penetrating trajectory of the long/mid irons makes you feel like a tour player! THey also make it easy to work the ball and if I can give one piece of advice to new users, it's let the club do the work, don't try and knock the ball into next week! In summary, I think these are the best irons in the World, as do Mizuno apparently as they're latest incarnation, the MP68 is blatantly exactly the same club!!

Why I didn't buy these earlier is a mystery. Have had two winter outings since purchasing them and have to say the feel is like no other. Longing to use them again. They look beautiful and play like a dream. Thanks golfbidder

Really surprised by these clubs, and how easy to use they are for blades. Being a relatively high handicapper I was not expecting to be able to use these clubs so well straight away. However played my first round with them on aturday and shot my best score of the summer!

I have used Mizuno for years but as my clubs now reside in Spain I felt I needed some for the UK. I purchased a set of second hand MP-33's and was absolutely blown away by their feel and accuracy. I seem to hit straighter and can draw the ball with more accuracy and less effort. For someone with a natural fade this is some accomplishment. These are the best clubs I have ever used and I recommend them for anyone wanting to lower their handicap. As blades go (I have always used blades) they are very forgiving.

I have been a 18 handicapper for a while now and feel i have not progressed so a friend suggested i tried blades. i was a bit sceptical as i thought they were primarily for low handicappers i have had these clubs just over a week. one trip to the range and one round on a course and what a difference i am hitting these longer and straighter the 3 iron goes miles both from the tee and off the fairway best clubs i have bought by a mile.great service from golfbidder also bought mon delivered tues

I am a 17 handicapper, who is not improving, concluded that I had to improve on the fairway with my irons. From hcp 36 I used Ping I3, and Mizuno is in my view the alternative for better and longer strokes. But, I realise I have to praktice a lot, because the Mizuno is less forgiving than Ping. I hope to give you a better review next month. Awaiting the "golden tip". Regards, Minus

I recently brought these irons from a mate who had hardly used them. I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't be able to hit them as they were blades, however I play well with them and just know that they will bring my h/c down. The feel / feedback from the club head is unbelieveable. I have got so much confidence in addressing the ball with these. The ball flight is awesome too, high and straight. Buy them if you're thiniking of investing in some blades. The mirrored finish looks fantastic as well.

I have played with these irons for about 3 years now and although they're getting marked I cannot part with them. Nothing else I've tried has got the feel of these beauties. I agree the long irons are a bit daunting, I use the longer irons from my other set of Callaway X14's but the better player would be fine with the long irons. I would probably benefit from playing a more forgiving club but with the forgiveness comes a lack of feel! When you hit these irons sweet, they're really sweet.

These clubs are absolutly class. I got a set at christmas 2004, 8 handicap at the time, if your a relativly good player like this level you will know how hard it is to get to a better level, the line is so fine, but these clubs could be the key to the door of the category 1. You have to be a decentish player to have a go with these but if you are you will notice the difference to any other clubs you hav hit. They offer great workability and true penetrating ball flight, the long irons are a little scary at first but they are absolutly class when you get used to them, the short irons are soooo nice to look at and i'm not even going to start about them
