About Taylor Made Burner Tour Launch

Taylor Made Burner Tour Launch fairway wood. New for 2008, Taylor Made has introduced the next generation of Burner fairway wood, available in two versions: High Launch, engineered to make it easy to launch the ball on a high, long-carrying flight at average swing speeds; and Tour Launch, engineered to promote the kind of lower, penetrating and workable ball flight that skilled players with higher swing speeds prefer. Burner High Launch and Burner Tour Launch fairway woods share several key performance elements. First is Dual Crown technology, wherein the size of the crown is noticeably smaller than the large sole. Second is Ultra-Thin Wall technology, which allows the clubhead walls to measure as thin as just .55 millimetres. All of the weight saved by Dual Crown technology and Ultra-Thin Wall technology is redistributed to create an exceptionally deep CG location that’s also 35% lower than previous comparable Burner fairway woods, making both of these new clubs extremely easy to hit while promoting a lower spin-rate for longer distance. Both new Burner fairway woods feature a fast-looking triangular Burner head shape that looks large when positioned behind the ball, to inspire confidence. The new Burner Tour Launch features a slightly more compact head shape with a more forward CG location, elements that are preferred by better players

Personally, I find the club to be fantastic. But if you're reading this, then it's more important how it plays for you. Well, if you recognised the following description, then it probably is for you: Currently playing of 13 or 14, using an old set of MX mizunos, reg shaft, and I hit an 8 iron just shy of 150 yards. I was using a Callaway 15 degree 3 wood, which I usually hit in the 220-240 yard range. I've experimented with a few drivers, but never hit them further than the Cally as I tended to get a ballooning flight with no roll. This 3+ wood is an excellent compromise, the stiffer shaft (though it's not something to worry about) gives more control, and I average 240-260 with it off the tee with a nice low ball flight. Will I keep trying to find a driver? Maybe, but it's hardly important is it?

Superb penetrating trajectory - very long of Tee and Fairway - much longer (15 yards) than my Ping G10.Like the shape of Head - not too wide from front to back - promotes total confidence. Club of choice from the tee on tight Par 4s. Excellent club.

The Burner 13º tour 3+ wood is probably the best fairway wood that I tried so far. It picks up a ball from any lie without fail. Great club thank you.

On receiving my club last week I was first struck by its condition. All categories were marked V Good; I have to say the club is in excellent condition - almost brand new. I have only played two rounds of golf so far, but it already feels like I have had the club years. I hope any future purhcases are as good value for money as this.

Don't be put off by the 'Penertrating Flight' description of this club, It is one of the easiest 3 woods I have hit and goes a mile with little effort. It has proved reasonably easy to work the ball left and right as well as being able to alter flight hight with losing the all important distance. Another great club from (in my opinion) the worlds leading manufacturer.
