About Callaway FT-5 Draw

Features and Benefits of the Callaway FT-5 Draw driver:

  • Titanium and carbon composite combine to save 50 grams of discretionary weight that is repositioned to help optimise your drives.
  • Larger, high velocity face enable you to choose a powerful combination of accuracy and distance to get the best out of your game.
  • 25-gram weight lowers the centre of gravity for optimal trajectory while Fusion technology provides stability on off-centre hits.
  • The 460cc head has been manufactured with a longer, wider and hotter face for more confidence at address.

HEADCOVERS: If a headcover is pictured in the photo above then the wood comes with the manufacturer’s matching headcover. If it is not in the photo, we do not have the matching headcover – but the club will be supplied with a brand new plain black tadpole headcover free of charge.:-

Came in excellent condition and it has worked really well - so far I have replaced the same driver so it feels allot newer and so far so good.

I played with this driver on Thursday 5th May two days after I bought it and drove 280 yards and scored 40 stableford for the first time. Great club!

I switched back to this Driver (Draw Model) from a new Nike STR8. Hits it straighter and 30 yards further. It's quite loud at impact but the ball flies off it. Fantastic.

Excellent club for anyone like me who tends to fade the ball - helps straighten drives.

Purchased for my wife with the weather as it is could not try on course, tried on the driving range and she got on very well with her new driver and first inpressions were good

After a period of time in which my handicap slipped from 9 to 20 (new baby + job!!! and largely because I couldn't find a fairway from the tee for toffee), I finally decided to do something about it! Golfbidder delivered this club within 48 hours, it was exactly as described, and they had previously been very helpful on the phone advising about the correct shaft. I had previously played a TaylorMade R580XD with Aldila NV65 stiff, and this FT5 Draw has an NVS65 stiff; higher ball flight, but very similar feel. A lack of control and direction has now been replaced with a gentle and controllable fade (yes, fade - it won't magically turn a dodgy swing into a perfect draw every time!) - finally giving me back confidence from the tee! The noise at impact is different from Titanium drivers, but easy to get used to, and not as offensive as some other drivers. Overall, a top quality driver at an excellent price, and a first class service from Golfbidder.

Really helps tame a slice, gives great confidence off the tee. Wouldn't dream of paying over £300, but can see why some would for this club. A bargain at Golfbidder price!

I bough this club without trying it just due to it looked good to me. I could see how offset the face was and knew this would help straighten my fade but it also has lengthened my drive. I am debating buying another and replacing my other driver that lives in my house on the Algarve

I used to have an FT3 driver which I exchanged for a G10 driver a year ago. Tried very hard to use the club but in the end decided to trade it in. Found the Golfbidder site and located a callaway FT5 HT driver which they said was in good condition. They offered part exchange for my driver which I accepted & the Callaway club was received the next day. The club appeared to be as new condition, even better than the description. Now hit the ball straight & 20yds futher. Many thanks for your help. Will be buying from you again.

Already had Callaway FT3 draw with 10 degree loft with regular shaft but found it very hard to get the ball up and over certain trees on my course. Got my FT5 13 degree regular lub today and rushed to the club to use it. WOW high, long and it went in the direction I aimed it!!!! Thought 13 degree would class me as a "lady" golfer but its saved me I can tell you so who cares. Greta club

Used the Ft 5 draw twice out-drove my Callaway 460 by 30 yds. My natural left-hand fade was replaced with a straight tee shot. Well worth the money. Much more confidence on the tee. Thanks Golf bidder Tony B

As promised...a follow up: My confidence is back...driver is long and my fade is disappearing. Has a tendency to draw, so will have to factor this into my game. AWESOME club..worth every penny.

Traded my Titeleist 905S for the FT-5. I was losing confidence off the tee, FT-5 feels really good-great flight of any part of the face-reinstilled my confidence of the tee. Playing in comp. on Sunday and will send a follow up review(watch this space). Great service from New Malden-Well Done again guys.

Bought the Calloway FT-5 and if you hit it soft it will help a slice, but let's face it, with a big head like that you want to thrash it ! Last weekend I still hit 3 out of bounds. On the plus side it hits very, very, long. My colleagues all has a go and were very impressed. They are now thinking of buying new drivers.

In regards to my earlier post...Matrix Shaft's are lumpy however a must with this Driver!!...however if you're name's Mike and you're 4 foot 8"..you may have to hit it twice & a wedge to reach the 300 yard mark!! Stick to you're 160 yard (with the wind!!)....happy slapper!!

Four stars

costahmmer H.Cap (12) 16.04.08

Have bought one of these with a Matrix Shaft....this thing pitches!! 30-40 yards past my last R7 Driver or Ping G5... I've gone from average 265 yards to 295 average now..i sometimes creep over the 300 mark if i connect really sweetly!! Get yourself a Matrix Shaft..they are lumpy but worth every penny.

Had the 425 tp last season changed it to the superquad at the start of this season. Never got it going. Changed it to the FT-5 and aint looked back. Longer and straighter than the taylor mades by far

I don't understand the previous reviewer! This club has made all the difference to my game. I was custom fitted and must have tried, at least, 20 different clubs, shafts, lofts and, without exception, this was far and away THE best club I tried. It is 'hot' off the face and, most importantly, hits the ball straight. I wholeheartedly recommend this club.

Disappointed - exact same set up as my FT3 (draw bias), but just did not get on with it. Maybe it was the Fuji shaft not being as suited as the NVS for my swing, but I didn't get the same distance, nor consistency in terms of direction. Sound is better than the FT3, but to be honest, it wasn't worth the extra money upgrading, not for me anyway - the FT3 is still the one.
