Model Info 2008

Cobra L4V F Speed driver. New for 2008. The name stands for Limit 4 Variables because Cobra engineers have managed to reach the limits of four USGA performance variables: MOI, dimensions, COR and volume. Let's break these down : Moment of inertia - (without getting too technical this is a measure of how responsive the club is in helping with off centre hits): 5900 is the measure of MOI that the USGA limit is set at, and the Cobra L4V hits that number. Clubhead Volume: It's 460cc in size, the maximum allowed. Coefficient of restitution: (How springy the face is to help increase ball speed) The L4V driver has the USGA-maximum-allowed COR. Clubhead Dimensions: A clubhead can be a maximum of five inches from heel to toe, and must be less than that from face to back. This is usually written as 5" by ‹5". And those are the dimensions of the L4V. Its face-to-back measurement is as close as Cobra can get it to five inches without actually hitting it. The ultra-lightweight carbon composite crown and sole, along with high-density tungsten backweighting of the Cobra L4V X Speed driver work together to shift weight low and back, generating a MOI (moment of inertia) up to 5900. The result is that the L4V has the highest MOI of any driver Cobra has ever built, not to mention the highest allowed by the USGA. That means less clubhead twisting at impact, giving you more power and forgiveness on off-center hits. By taking the dimension variable up to the limit, the weight is pushed low and back, resulting in higher launch and longer drives. Cobra's patented Dual Rhombus Face insert technology optimizes face flex to provide maximum COR (coefficient of restitution) across the clubface for the ultimate in ball speed and the ultimate in distance. The new L4V line features three models, X, F, and M. The X model is available in 9.0° loft, the F model available in 9.0° and 10.0°, and the M model available
