Callaway X-Forged Vintage C Grind wedges. New for 2008, designer Roger Cleveland has raised the bar once again with the 2008 X-Forged Wedges. Designed with input straight from Tour players, these wedges provide better players with all the elements they demand from their scoring clubs. Constructed from soft 1020 carbon steel for incredible feel with the duller anti-glare vintage finish preferred by most tour players, the clubs also feature a tighter heel-toe radius that provides increased versatility from anywhere around the green.
On selected 56- through 64-degree models, the aggressively-sized Mack Daddy Grooves are designed at the maximum depth and width for tour-level spin, trajectory and distance control. The models with Mack Daddy grooves will have MD etched on the hosel.
C Grind allows for maximum versatility in shot-making on a variety of turf conditions around the greens. In simple terms the sole has been ground away leaving a concave bounce area to the front of the sole. This helps keep the leading edge low especially when you open up the clubface.
