I switched from a nine degree to a ten point five purely to increase launch angle & hope to therefore increase hang time. The superquad in standard mode did this quite successfully. When i became accustomed to the clubs normal trajectory i started to move the weights about.I was very surprised just how dramatic the changes in ball dynamics were.I play on an exposed & windy course in Scotland which demands changes in launch angle to suit wind conditions. The superquad is right on the money for me.I suspect that the investment of a few extra pounds for different weights would allow you could customise perfectly.

just luv this club! ball rips off the face like a bullet out of a gun! par 5 cut to par 4s with this beuty. cant fault it. i used to have the titleist 907 D1 and i regret snubbing this driver the 1st time. thanks taylormade and golfbidder for the service on recomending ths club. :D jamie snook :D

I tried this driver a while ago and was hitting 30 yards further with it, having invested in one and using it for a while I have to say, it's awesome! Lot's more distance, and a lot more accuracy. It definitely takes some getting used to though.

after one round i hadnt got used to the club and was hitting huge slices (probably from trying to hit it too hard) but by the second round after id started swinging more normally i was hitting it cleanly about 280-300yds off the tee. amazing club. highly recommend for ANY golfer. altho for a higher handicapper would recommend a higher loft as u have to be able to deliver a strong, solid hit for a 9.5degree stiff model.

I'm normally a straight down the middle or fading driver off the tee, but this club has made me setup differently, slow the swing down and add 20 yards to my drives. Now getting gorgeous high draws that run for miles. Not sure why it makes me set up slightly differently, but I'm not complaining!! And a bargain from Golfbidder too.

about 3 months ago i suddenly thought i should get a new driver (seeing as my old driver was 12 beginner driver and i had improved drastically)i went to try out some i was faced with a decision with either the burner or the superquad and of after sleeping on it i got the superquad i liked that the small bit extra weight and of course the being able to change the shot shape which actually helped me with the small slice which was an added bonus! it gos miles to i hit it 260 consistently, and if i really catch it well i can hit 280 to 300 ( the 300 yarder was only once though in dry weather) which is good for a 14 year old!!! :)

This was the first Driver I was purchasing myself having inherited my first one and naturally I wanted it be perfect. I took some time shopping around trying different clubs, however when I tried this club I knew it was the one for me. I instantly fell in love with it, a fact which was further heightened by driving a 328 yard and sinking the putt for my first ever eagle on only my second hole with the club. The distance obtained and the level of forgivness is amazing. I haven't even tried to fiddle with the weights but I can highly recommend this driver. Sounds pretty good as well for those of you that care about those sort of things.

This driver is amazing. Took it out on the range and my goodness it goes, i was carrying it 250-270yards no bother, and my natural shot is a slight fade, so i set the weights to straighten it up and i was skeptical about the moveable weight technology but it actually works, i hit it straight nearly every time. 90% of my shots were straight and over 250 yards carry. Excellent, servicee from golfbidder was great ordered on thursday and came on tuesday but it was the easter weekend so that is pretty good!!!

I've had mine for about 2 weeks now and I think it is a very good driver. It goes a long way when you catch it out of the center and is quite straight on off-centre hits. The main draw is the moveable weight technology.

I have been golfing now for some 30 years (what a scary thought?) and I have always played with a fade, some of my kinder friends would say a power fade. I set the club up for a draw and guess what? I am now hitting the ball straight. It is nice standing over a tee shot knowing I can do this - forget the oob on the right or the lake on the left, this ball is going straight up the middle. Only one thought now troubles me and that comes from a quote by golfing legend Mr Lee Trevino. He was passing by the practice ground one day when he saw a fellow competitor with a new club. When he enquired about it he was given a full description of how it had been custom made for him and was absolutely the best thing since sliced bread. Trevino looked his straight in the eye and said "wait til it gets to know you..."

I've had mine for about 3 months now and I think it is a very good driver. It goes a long way when you catch it out of the center (about 250-280y) and is quite straight on off-centre hits. The main draw is the moveable weight technology. I was skeptical at first but it does work, particularly if you set the weights to a strong draw/fade setting. Not sure about the claims that it can alter launch angle, but for shape I think it does the trick. Finally, be prepared for a slightly muted sound at impact, it sounds solid rather than tinny like other drivers, eg Callaway or Cobra. For me, this is the biggest let down because I like loud acoustics!

Model Info 2007

TaylorMade R7 Superquad Driver. New for 2007, the 460 cc TaylorMade R7 Superquad Driver features 26 grams of movable weight in four ports that promote 28-yard lateral trajectory change and 1.5° launch-angle change. (Unless otherwise stated, all Golfbidder Superquads come with the standard two 12g and two 1g weights). The huge 460 cc clubhead combined with TaylorMade's Inverted Cone Technology produces an extremely-high eMOI combined with an very low and deep centre of gravity which makes this driver exceptionally easy to launch on a high, strong trajectory for long carry and phenomenal distance. Effective MOI (eMOI) is the positive influence on ball speed on off-centre hits that is exerted by the combined effects of a driver's MOI and clubface technology. The R7 Superquad comes with a wrench and weight setup guide.
