Mizuno MP-57 irons. Forged in a tradition of excellence, the precise and forgiving Mizuno MP-57 Irons are new for the2008 season. Designed for Mid to Low handicappers, these Grain Flow Forged Irons made from1035E Pure Select Mild Steel for control and feel, are put through the dual forging process to provide exceptional control and feel. The irons have a combined full cavity-back and Cut-Muscle design which gives them the largest sweetspot of the entire MP range and also promotes a high-trajectory, neutral ball flight because of the redistributed clubhead weight. Plated with Double Chrome Nickel for a combination of stunning looks and durability, the MP-57 Irons are fitted with True Temper Dynamic golf shafts and Mizuno /Golf Pride M-21 58 Grip.
The Mizuno MP-57 Irons are the most forgiving irons in the whole MP (Mizuno Pro) range. This is due to their full cavity back design with increases the size of the sweetspot which gives golfers a more solid strike, even on miss-hit. The clubhead also utilizes Cut-Muscle Design technology which is a small, milled out section at the back of the clubhead. This Cut Muscle Design Technology enables Mizuno to redistribute the weight of the clubhead so that it is perfectly neutral and promotes neither a draw nor a fade, which is more desirable for the better player. It also promotes a higher golfball trajectory.
The irons also have a graduated sole width & offset to make the long irons more forgiving and the short irons more workable, as well as U-Grooves which give the ball excellent spin and control around the green.
Mizuno have positioned the MP-57 irons between the MP-60's and MX-25's in terms of playability so their likely to suit most golfers upto about a 12 handicapper
