Have just added this club to my bag having had fantastic success with the 7 wood of the same generation. May be heavy for some people but the range is extraordinary and control must be seen to be believed. It has improved my game no end.

This club is first rate, I wish they still made it. As for Golfbidder, the service has been first rate and would recommend them to anyone.

I already rated this club and I found it beyond my expectations for condition. I am highly delighted with my purchase and would deal with this company again.

The reviews to date are inaccurate as they understated the excellent condition of the club I received. The overall rating was about 6.5 but cleaned up it is nearer 8.0. Thanks for the service and in the words of Arnie "I'll be back"

Having recieved my 2004 BB 3 wood, i was delighted again to see that the ratings Golfbidder gave (6's) were a little below my standards. Although some very slight ball markings on the face, the club appeared in excellent condition (i'd say an 8), with only the grip needing renewed. The head looks great at address, and although i own a 460cc driver, i must admit to liking the small heads still. Beautiful noise at impact and flies well. I can hit it about 245 so overall delighted.

Great club that fulfills exactly the purpose I bought it for - replacing both 3 wood off the tee and five wood off the fairway. It gives equivalent length (at least) off the tee to the 3 wood and off the fairway is just as easy to use as the 5 but gives greater distance. And, oh yes, it makes a great sound too.

My 9 Wood is perfect for getting out of the rough and semi and I will keep it for ever.

The club is excellent and I am very satisfied

Great club, got on with it right away and hit good shots from the rough and fairway, nice swing weight, I feel that this is a club I can bank on even when my confidance may be wavering.

I took the 7 wood to the drivign range and was hitting consistantly straight and over 200 yards even on a cold January day. The club felt fantastic and I would happily recommend it to others.

Just say Big Bertha, and you can 'feel' the quality and style :-)

neilmacarthur H.Cap 27 (Posted 28.09.06 )

This club is perfect. I have used the v foil 5 wood in the past which has a similar feel. Very well weighted and forgiving. This club however seems far more superior in quality. I have been able to use it on the rough just off the fairway with magic results. This club has been responsible for reducing a few shots off my round.

Callaway Big Bertha 2004 7 Wood RCH 75 regular graphite shaft came to me some days ago, and I had to try it immediately. As I said when I bought the first one: "I got it, I used it, smiled and said Yes!" I am absolute satisfied and happy with it.

bmmesher H.Cap 20 (Posted 13.07.06 )

This club inspires confidence - and when you hit a ball it really stays hit. For the first time ever I had a simple lob wedge into a regular nightmare par five after using this for my approach. It is solid and really clobbers the ball miles - I love it.

I got it, tried it, said 'yes' and smiled :-)

SDevlin H.Cap 18 (Posted 26.05.06 )

I very rarely use a five wood as I believe that a three iron is just as effective and easier to hit off the fairway. I used this five wood for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to play with. Perfect for an elevated-green shot because of the lofty flight achieved. SD

this is a strong recomendation for a 3 woood in anyones bag i suggest getting it with graphite shaft especially aldila nv65 awesome shaft with awesome distance and a mid to high ball flight This club is great of tees on short par fours when playing for position and is very forgiving of the deck from almost any lie i certain this is a club that will add confidence and more fun to anyones game craig 5 hcp

Model Info 2005

Callaway Big Bertha 2004 Fairway Wood. The Callaway Big Bertha 2004 Fairway Woods have a slightly smaller head size than their predecessor - the Steelhead III - and also a slightly shallower face. They incorporate an updated version of the legendary War Bird sole - making shots from grass a doddle. Forgiving and easy to hit.
