my favourite set of clubs ever, i love callaway but these are by far the best

audley1202 H.Cap 18 (Posted 10.10.07 )

I heard the description all gear no game. I beg to differ if you get these clubs. I have had all the X's and watched my handicap drop. These X18s are great. The confidence at address is noticable and in this game confidence is key. If you hit a bad shot these irons still forgives you with a straight bad one. I urgue you to hold one.

clubs were delivered within one day which helped me enjoy a great first round at the belfry. excellent irons have improved my iron shots by at least five shots

I played golf a lot when I was younger and have just decided to start playing again. These clubs are exactly what I need (along with a couple of lessons) to get me back down to single figures. Big sweet spot, very forgiving and I get more feel from them than I thought I would.

Upgraded to X-18's from a set of Big Bertha 2004 and thought there may not be a huge difference. But I was wrong. The narrow sole means that my low irons and wedges are now even better as there isn't as much bounce. You also seem to get better feedback from your shots. Hopefully my handicap will now start to go down. The Big Bertha's are great for the beginner, but these are the clubs for game improvement. Another quality item from Callaway.

I have only recently bought a set of X18's. I have played with them out on the course twice. The first round i used just to get to grips with my new steel shafed cavity backs, as i had just changed from very old graphite shhafts. After the second round and a go out on the range, i am now very impressed with the extra height and distance i am now getting. Also i am very impressed with Golf bidders excellend services and next day delvery. I have recommended you to all of my friends.

I used my new clubs for the first time , in the pouring rain, and still the difference was remarkable. I can't wait for better weather to really put them through their paces. No more excuses, I now have some of the best tools in my X-18's so it is up to me to get my handicap down. I would recommend these clubs to anybody who loves their golf and wants to improve

at last i'm playing like an 11 handicap should! i'm now playing to my handicap!!Really pleased with the quick resonse on the order,no complaint's at all.Regarding the club's:excellent set of iron's that i would recommend to anybody, more distance, more forgiving.

After hovering around 18 for the last 2 years I hope the X-18 will take my handicap down to were my partners say it should be,Ive had a couple of rounds and I must say my confidence in iron shots has vastly improoved.Look forward to the rest of the season and a personal target of 14 handicap.

domsharman H.Cap 17 (Posted 21.09.05 )

Brought a set of X-18's in May 05 and have not looked back since. Every Club is so forgiving and long so much so that I've even been fortunate enough to get rid of my Cobra Rescue Club as the 3 iron goes so well. Always thought that Callaway Irons were overhyped but these babies are the real deal !

Model Info 2007

Callaway X-18. The best-selling Callaway X-Series irons feature the patented core technologies that have made the Callaway Golf the most innovative iron manufacturer in the world. Extreme Notch Weighting, a proprietary visible feature that raises each iron's Moment of Inertia for increased stability and better results on off-centre shot, combines with a deeper 360-degree Undercut Channel to achieve even more increased forgiveness. The S2H2 (Short Straight Hollow Hosel), a staple of Callaway Golf irons for more than 15 years, allows weight to be moved lower and to the more useful perimeter area of the clubhead. An integral element of the S2H2 design is Tru-Bore Technology, which extends the shaft tip completely through the clubhead to the sole for greater feel and superior control. VFT (Variable Face Thickness) face design technology allows Callaway Golf to raise or lower the centre of gravity for optimum trajectory with each iron in the set: resulting in a higher launch angle in the long irons and better trajectory height control in the short irons and wedges. Callaway X-18 Irons feature a standard progressive offset throughout the set and fully balanced sole engineered to improve turf interaction and workability. Standard X-18 Irons are available in 2-iron through 9-iron plus Pitch (46 degrees), Approach (51 degrees), Sand (56 degrees) and Lob (60 degrees) wedges. The standard steel shaft is the Constant Weight Uniflex by True Temper. Graphite shaft options are System 55i (light flex), System 75i (regular flex), System 85i (stiff flex), and Gems(TM) 45i (ladies flex).
