| Head Ratings | ||
New or Mint | It may or may not still have the wrapping on, but the club has never been hit.
Excellent | The head is only really shop-soiled and could almost be passed 'As New'.
Very Good | The club has probably only played a few holes - it may only have been hit at the driving range. Either way, if there are any marks at all on the head they will be very light.
Good | In the case of irons, there may be scratching from sand or dirt but no major chips. Woods will have no very obvious sky marks or chips and the face will be in good condition. No buyer will be disappointed with clubs described as good.
Fair | In perfectly usable order but cosmetically not quite deserving of a 'good' rating. There may be minor stone chips in the case of irons and possibly light sky marks on woods resulting from normal wear and tear.
Well Used | Iron heads will either have obvious chips and/or will not be up to much cosmetically because of age or misuse. Woods will probably show sky marks. For any clubs rated 'well used' we will normally elaborate as to why in the description.
Very Well Used | In very poor condition. We will normally elaborate as to why in the description.
