Residence: Skovde, Sweden

DOB: 21/04/1972

Michael Jonzon has spent most of his career playing in the Challenge Tour and the European Tour after turning pro in 1991. In 1993, he won the Sundvall Open, and in 1994 the Kinnaborg Open, both part of the second tier tour in Sweden. His best year to date was 1997, winning the Open Novotel Perrier with Anders Forsbrand, and the Portuguese Open. He just missed out on victory at the 1999 Standard Life Loch Lomond on the European tour, tying with Sergio Garcia and Mats Lanner with the trio just being piped by Colin Montgomerie. In 2003 he won two events on the Challenge Tour - the Rolex Trophy in Switzerland and the Galeria Kaufhof Pokal Challenge in Germany. He went on to win the 2006 Rosen Open on part of the Swedish mini-tour. In 2007, he tied 3rd in the BA-CA Golf Open on the European tour, and the next year tied 6th in the Open de Andalucia. In 2009 Michael has struggled to find a level of consistency. His best finish came in only his second event of the year when he tied for 8th at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
