Daniel Vancsik
Residence: Misiones, Argentina
DOB: 07/01/1977
Daniel was born in Posadas, Argentina and started playing the game when he was 12 at the Tacuru Club in Posadas-Misiones-Argentina.
Daniel turned professional in 1997 and has played in Europe since 2003, initially on the second tier Challenge Tour, on which he won three tournaments, and later on the main European Tour.
Daniel picked up wins on his first 3 season on the Challenge Tour before graduating onto the main Tour for the 2006 season. His first professional wins however came in Argentina. In 2000 while he was still playing over there he managed to win twice - firstly at the Pinamar Open and then at the Rio Cuarto Open.
His first win in Europe came at the Telefonica Centro America Abierto de Guatemala on the Challenge Tour. His first win on the Main Tour came in his second season when he won the Madeira Islands Open. This win gave him a 2 year exemption on the European Tour - an exemption that he has extended in 2009 with a win at the BMW Italian Open.

Daniel Vancsik Tournament History
2008 Wales Open |
29 May - 1 June - The Welsh Open - Celtic Manor. Scott Strange completed an emphatic wire-to-wire victory at The Celtic Manor Wales Open with a sensational final round 64. Strange’s winning total of 262 was 22 under par and 4 shots better than the next best golfer, Robert Karlsson who was champion in 2006. The Australian becomes the third player to make The Celtic Manor Wales Open his maiden victory on The European Tour following in the footsteps of Steen Tinning (2000) and Simon Khan (2004). Karlsson did close to within a shot at one time with a spectacular run of 6 successive birdies around the turn. Strange was ignoring the leader boards dotted around the Twenty Ten course and seemed oblivious to the cheers ringing out from the group in front as he promptly pulled away. |
In Daniel Vancsik's bag...In a week where low scoring dominated, opening rounds of 72 and 73 (+3) were not good enough to see Daniel qualify for the weekend. What a pristine looking set of golf clubs. Everyone has its place and everything in its place. We can clearly see what Daniel was using this week. His Mizuno MP-57 irons are glistening in the light while the Black Nickel finish to his Mizuno T Series wedges is doing its job by reducing the glare. The generic Mizuno headcover on his driver would lead us to believe that he was not using a Mizuno driver this week. Rumour has it that it was actually a TaylorMade Burner TP.
