Jeff Klauk
Residence: St Augustine, Florida
DOB: 28/11/1977
Jeff is just a small part of a great sporting family. His wife won nine collegiate titles and was NCAA Division II Championship winner in 1996 and 1998 at Florida Southern. His brothers too are great athletes. His brother John joined the 2004 Nationwide Tour after a successful college career at the University of Texas while his younger brother, Jason, was a distance runner for the University of Florida track team.
Jeff attended Florida Southern University. During his time here he was a member of three-time NCAA Division II national championship team. Jeff also won the 2000 NCAA Division II individual title by seven strokes, earning the Arnold Palmer Award for medallist honours and was named the NCAA Division II National Player of the Year.
Jeff has been a member of the Nationwide Tour since 2002, never finishing outside of the top 100 on the money list. Jeff ranks fourth in Nationwide Tour career earnings, one of just five players in Tour history with over $1 million in career earnings.
Jeff will be playing his rookie season on the PGA TOUR after placing third on the 2008 Nationwide Tour money list. During this season he earned his second career Nationwide Tour win with a one-stroke victory at the 2008 Melwood Prince George's County Open in May. He held the first- and second-round leads and was part of a four-way tie for the 54-hole lead. His first-place check of $117,000 pushed him over the $200,000 mark and into the No. 2 spot on the money list, virtually assuring the seven-year Nationwide Tour member of his first trip to the PGA Tour in 2009.
His time on the nationwide Tour has paid off as he is currently sat in 37th place on the Money List. His best finish is a 4th place at the Honda Classic. If he continues this form he is set to retain his card and will be in line for being named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

Jeff Klauk Tournament History
2009 Arnold Palmer Invitational |
26-29 March 2009 - Bay Hill Country Club and Lodge - This week marked the return of the Tiger Woods we all know and love. After 9 months out of action after re-constructive knew surgery - a birdie putt at the 72nd hole saw Tiger win as Bay Hill for a sixth time. Those familiar back-nine heroics and a putt that everyone knew he was going to drain saw the world number 1 come from 5 strokes back on the final day - equalling his career best comeback. This remarkable comeback must have been great to watch apart from the eyes of Sean O’Hair who Woods beat into second place. |
In Jeff Klauk's bag...In what has been an up and down start to the year for Jeff this was certainly a down week. A closing round of 70 was not enough to repair the damage that a 74 and a 76 had done in the previous rounds. Jeff eventually finished up in a tie for 59th place. Here we have a great shot of Jeff using his Titleist AP2 Forged irons. He is registered as a Titleist Tour Pro so our friends at Titleist were able to help us in filling in the blanks. His driver this week was a new Titleist 909 DComp. He was also carrying a set of Titleist Vokey Design wedges - 2 from the Vokey 200 Series and 1 from the Spin Milled range that has proved so popular.
