2008 Arnold Palmer Invitational

13-16 March - Arnold Palmer Invitational - Bay Hill Club and Lodge. In typical Tiger fashion, the world #1 sank a 24-foot putt on the 72nd hole at Bay Hill for his fifth consecutive win, much to the annoyance of Bart Bryant who was looking for his first win since 2005. This was his biggest challenge since this streak began 7 months ago, Woods outlasted 45-year-old Bart Bryant and won with a birdie putt on the 72nd hole for the first time in 7 years. He turned and slammed his cap to the ground, letting out a roar to celebrate his 64th career victory, tying Ben Hogan at #3 on the PGA Tour career list.

In D.J. Trahan's bag...A final round 68 saw D.J jump up the leader board into a tie for 32st place. He started the day in 47th. Only 2 bogies in the last 4 holes denied him an even greater improvement. D.J used the Titleist PT 905R (8.5˚) off the tee. He had a mix of fairway woods; a Titleist 906F4 (13.5˚) and a Taylor Made r7 (17.5˚). He was using a Wilson Staff FG59 Prototype Forged iron (4-P). He completed his iron sets with a pair of Titleist Spin Milled wedges (60˚ and 64˚). He used a Scotty Cameron Newport #2 Putter.
