Titleist 975 F Fairway

Titleist 975F. The Titleist 975F fairway wood was hugely popular on professional tours around the world - and remains a popular player's club today. With a classic look and set-up and producing a sweet, solid feel and sound, the lower centre of gravity and increased face roll provide the lower launch angle preferred by better players. The internal weighting is forward biased to reduce spin and produce a flatter downrange trajectory, the hallmark of all Titleist 975F fairway metals.

This club arrived with a new shaft recently fitted.A small amount of wear on the head but in great condition for the year.A super accurate club, and a great addition to my metal woods.A fantastic deal from GolfBidder.

I didn't know what to expect as I have always struggled with fairway woods, but I am pleasantly surprised at how easy and effective this club can be, good distance and loft. Very pleased with the purchase.

I haven't been keeping my tee shots in the fairway with a big driver so I reverted (again) to a cheap 3 wood. That seemed to work. Then I bought the Titleist 3 wood to make progress from there. It seems to have worked and, although the head is small, its surprisingly forgiving and its accurate and about 25 yards longer than the cheaper club. It also achieves that with a lower trajectory than the cheap 3 wood and the driver - which is great in the wind. I suspect I will gain some more run on the links course in the summer as well. I got it for about £20 in the auction. Usual good service and club condition of course.

Very hard club to use cause if you didnt catch the ball off the sweet spot it had a tendancy to go left were as no other clubs in my bag done this and they were all the same kind of shafts I had on the club. I wouldn't recommend this club for higher handicap players.

I purchased a 975F 3+ wood not long ago from GB and after some initial apprehension it crew on me, so much so that I have now bought a 5 wood as well. These clubs are great, they give you so many options between driver and irons, overlapping in many respects. Now I like my irons and I use my 3 iron to tee off for the longer par 3's, so carrying these woods leaves a gap in my wedges. But, if you can pick the ball off the fairway and put it on the green, you can afford to sacrifice a bit of your short game. I am going to fill the gap in my wedges and buy a utility club to give me options depending on where I'm playing, but these will be in my bag most of the time I'm sure.
