Taylor Made Rescue Mid Fairway

TaylorMade Rescue Mid. Designed to be easier to use than a long-iron while delivering better distance. Key to the Rescue Mid's performance is the way it unites a high moment of inertia (higher than a long-iron) with a lower, deeper centre of gravity (CG). These factors allow the TaylorMade Rescue Mid to combine maximum forgiveness on mis-hits with a high launch angle and high spin, producing high, long shots that stop quickly. TaylorMade testing indicates that the Rescue Mid delivers five-and-a-half additional miles-per-hour of ball speed and seven additional yards of distance than their long-iron counterpart.(Tested against TaylorMade's 360 irons). Additional Rescue Mid features include the double-crown, which enhances structural integrity and minimizes head-distortion at impact so that maximum energy is transmitted to the ball; and a double-sole, which reduces the amount of sole area that contacts the turf, resulting in less resistance at impact and promoting an "iron-like" feel through the hitting zone. The TaylorMade Rescue Mid’s sole is cambered from toe to heel, easing playability from all types of lies. These type of utility clubs are incrasingly popular as alternatives to those hard-to-hit long irons. The Taylor Made Rescue Mid is available in a series of four, numbered 2-, 3-, 4- and 5- for the respective long-irons they are intended to replace.

FANTASTIC...This club goes straight down the middle,And is probably the easiest club i have EVER hit. I Just set myself up as normal, then without any effort and a nice easy swing, the ball goes the same distance,( Maybe More ) than a well hit 3 Wood. I used this off the tee 13 times, and it was just perfect.I now refer to this club as my Wand.Simple and very easy to hit,and Pure Magic... I would recomend anyone who`s having trouble with a 3 wood,to seriously consider using one of these clubs. In all honesty, its like hitting a 7 iron, but with the distance of a 3 wood.

With the Taylor Made mid rescue in my bag, I now have the confidence to hit that awkward shot from that awkward distance from the fairway or the rough, hit my normal shot without having to force an iron to do the same, and know it will cut through the grass and not turn over in it. There's nothing like watching a well hit shot from that awkward distance and awkward lie go straight and set you up with a birdie chance.

Great club if your a poor long iron player and for distance playing out of semi and light rough

The TaylorMade rescue clubs are one of the few improvements in golf technology that actually improve your game whatever your handicap. The Rescue Mid 3 gets the ball into the air and gives you distance out of any lie. A must for club golfers.

used this club for the first time in poor weather conditions and it was excellent. The distance and control was great, i would recommend if you have trouble using long irons get one of these it will make a big difference. excellent service from golfbidder.

I now have 3 TM Rescue Mids, 2,3 & 5. All are easy to use on fairways, in the rough and out of bunkers. Struck sweetly my new 2 will give me 200 yards off the fairway and it came looking like new. I have thrown out my woods and long irons. I have an R7 driver, my 2,3,& 5 RMs and 6-9 irons plus a couple of wedges. All you need.

I found the club easy to use. On tight holes it is easier to put the ball on the fairway and it does go a long way. I have since also bought the 3 and 5 and discarded the woods and long irons from my bag. I don't like changing clubs and have done it reluctantly as it is now necessary to learn how far each club hits the ball and where to position the ball to hit it straight. However, having tried a friends clubs I have now bought my own and am very pleased with them so far.

This club is a 2 iron replacement, but is a lot easier to hit. out of the rough or on the fairway it flies 220 yrds, no one should buy another 2 iron unless they have tried these first.

Very nice club, very easy to get the ball airborn and easy to hit from all kinds of lies. Awsome for low, rolling chip shots, the club head just clips through the grass without getting entangled. The quite large offset makes the club a bit difficult to set up square and may be a bit too much if you hit a natural draw.

After a long lay off am back trying to play golf. Woods have been a problem but since buying a 2 & 4 rescue mid clubs what a difference. At a lesson with my pro he could not believe the distance I was getting with both clubs. At 77yrs i am hitting longer then when I was in my 40's. Thank you Taylor Made

This is the second Taylor Made rescue club I have bought and I can only say they are great. The extra loft (22) on this club and the steel shaft reduces the distance over my other rescue which is just what I wanted. I can easily get 170-180 yards of the fairway with this club alowing me to remove another couple of irons from my bag. Much easier to use and more forgiving than the irons I can only say get one now,you wont be disapointed

The very first day I started using the new rescue club I broke the 40 and scored 38 (6 under my handicap for 9holes)for the first time, thanks to the mid rescue club!!I expect to reduce my handicap this coming summer.

I got this club 3 weeks ago when i was playing to a 28, and I've been cut to a 21, an incredable 7 shots. I think this is the easiest club to hit long and straight, I now no longer need to use my 3 or 4 irons as I am not confident with them.

I bought a MidRescue 3 (from GolfBidder, natch) last year, and it's the best club I've had in 40 years. Even off-centre hits fly high and mostly true, and it is worth at least 1 or 2 shots per round on par 5's and long 4's. You can use it from the tee, fairway, rough and chip with it too. Especially recommended for beginners - much easier to hit than a long iron or driver and you could use it for every shot until you get to medium iron distance.

inmyowntime H.Cap 13 (Posted 16.02.05 )

This has to be the best club for the last few years. Very easy to hit, it has pensioned off my 1 iron and fairway woods and must save me 2-3 shots a round. Expect a bit of stick from your mates about the whole rescue club concept but they'll soon want to try it.
