Callaway Big Bertha Steelhead. The Callaway Big Bertha Steelhead fairway woods feature Callaway's patented S2H2 technology- 'Short, Straight, Hollow Hosel' This was Callaway's revolutionary design with the shaft tip running through the head of the club to the sole, allowing a shorter hosel for more clubhead control. Featuring a lightweight crown and Callaway's Golf Weight Chip Technology to produce a low centre of gravity for getting the ball airborne from the fairway (or the tee) nice and early.

This club is fantastic at getting good distance out of the first cut of rough, the small head allows it to travel through the longer grass easier. Mine is a 7 Wood and the loft is just right for long high recovery shots with a distance bonus over a mid iron.

I have used callaway fairways all my golfing life and have had a Steelhead 3 wood from new, about 6 years. Recently I have been struggling with my 3 iron and decided to swallow my pride and invest in a 7 wood. WOW!!! High shots low shots this club can do it all. I decided to stay with Steelhead as I was so happy with the 3 wood and how glad I am. The 7 wood was hardly a huge investment at £30.00 inc p & P (I won it on a Golfbidder auction) but i can honestly say it is now priceless. Bye bye 3 iron, well come back a consistant 210 yard shot.
