Features and Benefits of the Callaway Big Bertha hawkeye VF fairway wood:

One of the earliest fairway woods to benefit from the 'trampoline effect'.
Utilises Callaway's patented Variable Face Thickness (VFT) Technology which allows manufacture of a very thin - yet strong - clubface.
Club face 'gives' slightly on contact with the ball and then, in a fraction of a second, restores itself, catapulting the ball off for increased distance.

I received this 9W last week and I have already used it 3 or 4 times. It seems to be pleasant and light. I used it to go out from a far bunker and my ball reached the green. I don't regret this purchase.

I recently purchased a Callaway HawkEye VFT 7 wood to complete the set. I used it for the first time last week on a Society day and picked up the prize for nearest the pin courtesy of the new 7 wood. I only wish I had added this to my set earlier.

Perfect for those 170/180 yd par 3's. I had to keep borrowing my wife's - hence this purchase. Has a slight draw which must be the weighting because my usual shot is a fade.
