Before this I had the standard woods that came with my golden bear set. I could never hit them, too chunky and too wobbly. I bought the 5 wood just on a whim and I literally hit it every time, rough, fairway, tee, mat, love it. So I bought the 3 wood as well and hit that just as well. They look and feel great and when I'm addressing the ball it sits lovely and fills me with confidence which, as we all know, is half the battle. I also have the nanospeed driver and I would recommend Yonex woods to anyone. I doubt I'll buy another brand of woods now.

I have always regarded Yonex products as being of high quality, having excellent shafts and generally outperforming most of its competition. The VMX is no exception. For me, this club feels light and its low profile head sits well behind the ball. With a good, controlled swing, the ball flies off the clubface providing better than average distance and a straight flight. I find it easy to use and therefore play it confidently which is 75% of the basis behind making a good shot each time I use it!
