New for the 2009 season the Odyssey White Hot XG Hi-Def Putter is the third member of the range - following the Rossie Blade and the #7 CS. The Odyssey White Hot Hi-Def putters provide an alternative alignment system to help sink more putts. The Hi-Def Alignment System offers every possible advantage so putts can start on the intended target line. And with Odyssey's softest, most responsive insert in the White Hot XG, these putters are the perfect complement to a tour proven line-up. The Hi-Def Alignment System is made up of 2 stripes running the length of the putter head. This makes the lining up of putts easier and more accurate. Their high contrast design directs attention to the alignment channels and helps bring focus and clarity to the intended target line. The science behind the insert is as follows. It is constructed from a soft elastomer core that's highly resilient for exceptional feel and a truer roll. It's thin but firm outer striking surface is infused with urethane to provide fine-tuned responsiveness. These characteristics result in weight being shifted to the perimeter of the head for a higher moment of inertia and better stability.
