Taylor Made R9 - 'the talking can stop, it's finally here'.

The new Taylor Made R9 will be fully adjustable, for the first time ever, combining three moveable weights with a new Taylor Made technology, called Flight Control Technology. The specially engineered wrench allows players to change the face angle, lie and loft into one of eight different positions. Importantly, when the face angle closes the loft increases to ensure optimum carry. As the face angle opens the loft decreases to deliver a controlled, penetrating ball flight.
By combining the adjustability of the face with moveable weight technology, the Taylor Made R9 has 24 different options so every player can find a set-up that feels comfortable at address and delivers a consistent shape and trajectory.
The Taylor Made R9 is being launched on Tour at the end of January 2009, though many Taylor Made Tour pros have been testing the club already and consider it to be the best driver ever produced.
TaylorMade's new R9™ driver's debut on the PGA Tour started strong and ended spectacularly. The strong start was heralded by winning the count for No. 1 driver model. The impressive finish came when TaylorMade-adidas Golf Tour Staff professional Pat Perez won the tournament with the R9 in his bag. "I'm telling you it's the best driver I've ever hit, and I've tried a lot," said Perez after his second round. "It's unbelievable."
Following it's official launch on the European Tour, the new TaylorMade R9™ Driver blew the competition away in the Driver Model count with 28 in play.
