Yonex Cyberstar XC + Hybrid Fairway

Yonex Cyberstar XC + Hybrid. New for 2008 the Cyberstar XC + Hybrid features a lightweight high tensile Carbon Graphite Crown fused to a SUS630 Steel face and sole. The weight saved by using a high tensile carbon graphite crown allows the addition of 2 Tungsten inserts to position the centre of gravity lower and deeper within the club for a high launch, aiding control to shots around the green. The V-shape sole design allows for minimum ground drag during the ball strike for extra forgiveness and reduced power loss. The Yonex Cyberstar XC + features a Yonex engineered Carbon Graphite shaft that incorporates brand new Hi-Stability technology for improved accuracy and the Centrifugal Force System (CFS) for greater distance with a higher trajectory ball flight. 16 degree replaces 2 iron, 19 degree replaces 3 iron, 22 degree - 4 iron and 25 degree, 5 iron.

Already had the 3i hybrid but needed a little more distance on the par 5s and long par 4s so also bought the 2i hybrid. Sweeps the ball nicely off the turf as you'd expect from a hybrid and has a low, boring flight that seems to court accuracy over blind distance. Am considering getting the 4i hybrid soon.

Yonex clubs are often overlooked by the monthly mags. This hybrid is easy to use and delivers a very long ball flight from tee and fairway/light rough. It's simply very good value for money when bought from GB.
