This is a big club, with lots of technology behind it (along with many highly rated reviews).
Striking the ball out of the middle seemed to produce a nice flight (with a huge amount of noise!), but I couldn't get the distance or accuracy to improve over the club I am looking to replace (old TaylorMade R580)

What can I say, this club has completely changed my game!
Having won the club on the auction section of golf bidder (which is great for a bargain) the club was delivered within 2 days and was in a much better condition then I had expected. Unfortunately, the plain black cover had not been included. A quick email to golf bidder and 2 days later, instead of just the black cover I was expecting, a proper cobra head cover arrived.. Very impressed. Thanks golf bidder.
On to the club, I had read many reviews of this club and had tested one before purchasing my own, it is a truly fantastic club. I played at my local course on Saturday and hit 6 out of 7 fairways that required a driver - and with good distance. I have so much confidence with this club and would strongly recommend it to any high handicap golfer who is struggling with their driving. I would agree with the other reviews that the claim the club makes the strangest/loudest sound on impact but who cares when the ball is going a good distance and in the right direction!

Brought this club in auction on Golf bidder and got it for a steal so its always worth a look there. Great delivery and customer service from Golf bidder.
Have used this club on three rounds and what can I say apart from 'WOW'. This thing is huge (added at least 10 yard to my drive and on a par 5 this is the differenc between hitting a wood or an iron to the green on the second shot). With the 2degree closed face as standard I feel it gives me a physcological advantage over my playing partners as I KNOW my drive is going to end up on the left side of the Fairway.
The face is so forgiving even with hits on the toe and heel the ball still flies miles, its is easy to get the ball airbourn and looking down at the club at address is much easier on the eye then some of the other drivers on the market at the moment. To go with the looks the regular shaft is a cool red colour and the headcover makes the club look awesome in the bag.
Have used this club at the range also and have had numerous people admire my driving (not to float my own boat) and have let people have ago, all have said they love the feel of the club at inpact and everything else besides.
The only downside I can think of about the club which i must say is a minimal factor is the sound at inpact, its not quite as loud as my previous drivers, the Cobra SZ400 for instance that produces a hell of load bang that lets the whole course know you've let one rip of the Tee, the Cobra L4V produces a more duller thud, HOWEVER, this can be accepted when you see where your ball has gone and I can assure you it is very very long and very straight.
hope this review helps those who are thinking about this club, one final thought on this matter which may help make up your mind is stop looking for reasons why you should buy this club and start asking why you havent already brought this club!
If you want extra yards with maximum forgivness then this is the club for you
Enjoy
Owen
