Callaway FT-i Tour Neutral Driver

Callaway FT-I Tour Neutral driver. New for 2007. It's square - and it's here! Designed to be the world's straightest driver, the Callaway FT-i Tour uses patented Fusion Technology that moves weight away from the Centre of Gravity to produce a driver with increased horizontal and vertical stability that maximizes distance with total accuracy. This Tour version of the FT-i features a face which sits open by 0.5 degrees allowing lower handicappers to work the ball more easily. 460cc titanium drivers have made great improvements in stability and MOI. However, the weight of titanium virtually eliminates discretionary weight distribution, which is available in the FT-i driver. The carbon Composite body uses materials significantly lighter than titanium and creates discretionary mass that is distributed to the extreme perimeter, resulting in increased stability and longer, straighter bombs down the fairway. The design allows positioning of discretionary weight to the extreme corners of the clubhead, raising the MOI for unparalleled resistance to twisting both horizontally and vertically, providing forgiveness on shots hit all over the face. The Callaway FT-I driver represents a quantum leap in driver design. The FT-i Tour Neutral driver provides the optimal trajectory for those who already hit the ball straight and allows the better player to be able to work the ball whichever way they prefer i.e draw or fade.

After a couple of buckets and rounds I am happy with this club. Feels incredibly light in the hand. It certainly doesn't straighten anything for me but it is long and very forgiving of my somewhat variable angle of attack. However, consider taking ear-plugs with you to the driving range as it sounds like a gun-shot.

fti tour neutral 9.5 stiff aldila NV, club in superb condition, hits the ball high considering loft and shaft but still gives loads of roll on landing, incredibly forgiving, without being draw biased like similar clubs ( i hook and slice in equal measure). Am still in the honeymoon period but this club shows great promise! carrying it about 240-250 with another 20-30 yards of roll. head sits beautifully at address even tho its square. Will be in the bag for some time i think!

Having always been a fan of the more tradional shape of driver, i was unsure weather to try this type of driver but on the merit of my local pro i decided to try both the nike SUMO and the FT-I and the now owning the FT-I this driver go's a mile and exactly where you want it to. Its easy to shape and easy on the eye, sits square and with the gaffalloy blue prob the best driver i have ever owned! i know its square but its the way forward and it truely is amazing club!
