| I started playing on a Links course and, although hitting the ball better than before,my handicap went from 8.6 to 10.3. The problem was hitting the ball far enough off the tee and KEEPING IT IN PLAY! Regularly windy conditions made thisdifficult for me and the severity of the rough meant that playing to my handicap was too difficult. I have used the Cobra LD offset Driver for three rounds (Medal;White tee rounds)and been4 under handicap;1 over and level. This may not look sensational but believe me the driver has led to a VAST improvement in my game.Had a 9.0 degree been available I would have had it but I thoroughly reccomend this club to people having problems starting and finishing with the same ball.

| So far so good...it is a very "noisy" club but very forgiving and on a good day my drives are definitely about 10 - 15 yards longer |

| So consistently straight, and with a higher ball flight than I am used to, inspires masses of confidence, so that I can now concentrate on refining my swing for distance; rather than just trying to get the ball off the tee! |

| I had the old TI Firm flex offset for about 10 years until unfortunately it broke on the 18th tee last month. I say unfortunately but I now mean fortunately.
I bought last year some Big Bertha irons and wanted my driver to match so bought the BB 460 Stiff flex.
First time out after a little practice and what a disaster, pushing and slicing everything. The harder I tried the worse it got.
I had to do something and ventured into the local pro shop to discover the latest Cobra incarnation of my old beloved club.
The pro let me try on the range and I can only say that I should have broken the original one a lot earlier. I have never hit a ball as far as with this club, and the direction was perfect, and without having to exhaust myself in the process. OK, I have to admit that maybe my swing has slowed over the last few years and maybe the swing path has dropped a bit but the regular shaft with his offset club is a wonder to play with.
Much lighter to hold than the old TI and certainly more beautiful to look at. My only down point is the noise it makes when you hit the ball, can't describe it, but it's just strange.
Anyway that aside, if you do suffer with a slight push / fade / slice this is the club for you.
Hope this helps, Rob Greene |
