Yonex Cyberstar Nanospeed Fairway wood. The Yonex Cyberstar Nanospeed fairway features a lightweight high-strength nano C60 carbon graphite crown that is only 1mm thick. The reduction in crown thickness by 0.2mm reduces the overall weight by 4g making the centre of gravity lower and deeper than ever before, generating a higher ball trajectory, with reduced spin, for greater distances. The new 6-4 Titanium Muscle Power II face enlarges the sweat area by equalising the recoil in both the vertical and horizontal planes, increasing repulsion to achieve even greater distances. The MPII face design also makes the club face lighter to deepen the centre of gravity still further. To generate increased head speed, nanotechnology has been used to take its high performance shafts to the next level. By combining the high-strength & low-weight benefits of nano C60 carbon graphite with the repulsion energy of Elastic Ti and power generating Centrifugal Force System (CFS), swing speeds can be increased by on average 1m/s.

I spent a day at a golf shop/range and tested every make of wood there is. Even though my heart was set on a flash brand I just kept coming back to the yonex. In the end I gave up and had to buy it. It's just one of those clubs that you know when you address the ball you're going to have a good result. The grip, feel, connection, sound - in fact everything - were brilliant. It's funny when I play a round with friends/strangers they all sniff at the head covers, after a few holes they ask for a try, one mate even bought a set when he returned to the 19th hole.

I have played Yonex woods for years, until recently with the driver, 3, 5 & 7 from the Vmass 260 range. I bought the Cyberstar Nanospeed driver & instantly got more length but far more importantly found more fairways. I don't understand why people pay for the 'in vogue' names when Yonex are quietly producing better clubs at a far more competitive price. I've now added the 3, 5 & 7 in this range too and my playing partners ae all raving about how well thy hit the ball with MY clubs! They even threatened to drug test them as a Big Bertha & an R7 user both gained about 15-20 yards on their drive length AND UNUSUALY FOR THEM CONSISTENTLY HIT THE FAIRWAY!!!! I know Yonex ar doing some road show events during 2008 so if you are thinking of a new wood and haven't tried one before go along and find out what you are missing out on!!!

having struggled with a slice since puberty how satisfying to launch those drives straight down the fairway.Trouble is i now have to practice my iron shots unused to the smoothness of a fairway! These Yonex drivers have definitely improved my game-hope they do the same for yours.
