Taylor Made r5 dual D. Winner of Golf World's Straighest driver Award August 2005. The Taylor Made r5 dual Type D and Type N are the most forgiving drivers that TaylorMade has ever created. The Super-Thin Wall technology allows TaylorMade to create exceptionally large heads - 450 cc. In each TaylorMade r5 dual driver, two TaylorMade Launch Control (TLC) cartridges are permanently installed at the rear of the clubhead. These cartridges - pre-configured by TaylorMade engineers - are strategically positioned low at the clubhead's perimeter, and exist to pull the centre of gravity deeper into a position that promotes a draw bias in the Type D (so suiteable for golfers with a tendnecy to slice the ball) and a neutral bias in the Type N which is essentially aimed at better players. The r5 dual Type D's "pulled heel" clubhead shape features a prominent bulge near the heel, which helps move the centre of gravity closer to the heel, making it easier to rotate the clubhead properly through impact to produce a distance-enhancing draw. The r5 dual Type D's clubface is also aligned slightly closed to promote confidence and contribute to the production of draw-spin.
