Titleist DCI 990 B. Used by numerous tour players during the 1990s, the 990 irons feature a variable muscle back cavity with progressively biased weight throughout the set. Long irons are weighted to promote playability and higher ball flight. Short irons are weighted to produce lower, more controllable ball flight. Traditional V-grooves for consistent trajectory and spin performance. This B or tour version has slightly less offset than the standard version - and a thinner top-line. The design enables players to hit long irons more easily without sacrificing shot workability and short irons with a flatter, more controlled ball flight.
