Taylor Made RAC Tour Preferred Combo Irons

Taylor Made Tour Preferrerd Combo irons. RAC stands for Relative Amplitude Coefficient, a technology TaylorMade developed to improve shot-making and characterised by 'Feel Pockets' in the back of the club head. Originally created for TaylorMade tour staff professionals the rac Tour Preferred CB irons deliver the workability of a blade and the forgiveness of a cavityback. The CB (which stands for cavityback) is coin-forged and engineered to deliver outstanding feel, with blade-like features that include a compact shape, thin sole and thin top-line. Highly workable, the CB's perimeter-weighting also delivers a higher Moment of Intertia (MOI) than a muscleback iron, providing greater forgiveness for improved results on off-centre hits. The TaylorMade Tour Preferred Combos are basically a mix of rac cavity backs (CBs) in the 3-6 irons for easier shot-making on the harder-to-hit long irons, while the 7 thru 9 irons are more traditional blades from the rac MB (Muscle Back) set allowing better players to work the ball. The rac 48-degree wedge (from the original rac wedge line) features a tour-proven classic teardrop head shape which allows for crisp shots with full swings or sensitive touch shots from around the green.

Fantastic set of clubs, really accurate, look great and inspire confidence. They have given my golf a new lease of life. Far better condition than expected and great service from golfbidder.

Early days since purchasing and I'm still getting to grips with these irons although will hopefully turn out to be excellent. Moved from Big Bertha irons and the change to the small 'tour' heads takes a bit of getting used to but can now appreciate the sense of feel when you hit a shot out the middle (or not). Although the longer irons are cavity backed they don't provide the same forgiveness as game improvement clubs and I'd therefore suggest these are for mid handicap or better. They look great and excellent service from Golfbidder.

I bought a set of these three weeks ago and am already playing better, the long irons are supurb and easy to hit and with the bladed short irons a perfect set of clubs

These irons are brilliant. At the start they are hard to hit but once you get used to them they are brilliant.

These are very nice clubs indeed, when you get used to the centre sweet spot. They have a smaller head as they are a tour model. Do not expect the same forgiveness that you will get from other oversized models. The blades from 7 - Pw, provide excellent feel for approach. The lower iron also allow a little leniency, but when the ball comes out of the middle of the club you have strong degree of confidence it is going where you need it.
