Golfbidder Partners
The PGA's of Europe
The PGAs of Europe is an Association of National PGAs (30 European and 7
International) with a collective membership in excess of 18,500 golf professionals
whose objective is to represent, promote and advise PGAs on a business-to-business
basis. At all times striving to raise standards and opportunities in the education
and employment of golf professionals while also representing member countries
in dealing with influential bodies and governments regarding the promotion of
the game and the interests of PGA professionals. Recognising the value Golfbidder
has brought to club pros in the UK and across Europe, Golfbidder was proud to
have been appointed the Official Club Exchange of the PGAs of Europe in 2010.
The PGA
From its headquarters at The Belfry,
The PGA (Professional Golfer’s
Association) is responsible for the training and education for over 5,000 golf
club professionals – as well as the organisation of professional tournaments
at local and national level - including the Ryder Cup which it manages jointly
with The European Tour.
It is the oldest PGA in the world.
Golfbidder sources most of its stock from PGA club professionals around the
UK. Drawing on our many years of experience we are able to offer club pro’s
a guaranteed price on used clubs - removing the risk they have traditionally
taken when accepting part-exchanges. The value we have brought to the golf market
has been officially recognised - and Golfbidder is proud to have been appointed
the Official Club Exchange of the PGA. For more information, visit

Ian Woosnam
Golfbidder’s relationship with Woosie now goes back many years – and we are
honoured to be one of Ian’s sponsors. Since his first Professional tournament
victory in the 1982 Swiss Open, Ian Woosnam has become one of the most exciting
and most successful golfers in the world. Ian has won more tournaments worldwide
than any other British golfer, excluding Seniors Tour veteran Neil Coles. He
finished in the top twelve of the European Order of Merit for twelve successive
years, during which time he has won well in excess of £3.5m in prize money in
Europe alone. During that period, he twice finished in the number one position
of the European Tour Order of Merit (1987 and 1990). There are probably two
crowning moments in Woosie’s remarkable career – his victory in the 1991 Masters
at Augusta National – and then his captaining of the victorious European Ryder
Cup team against the Americans at the K Club in 2006. He was awarded the O.B.E
in 2007. His success continues and in 2008 he won the
European Seniors Tour Order of Merit.
Sparks
Golfbidder is pleased to partner Sparks,
the children’s medical research charity. Sparks’ sole remit is to fund research
across the whole spectrum of paediatric medicine. Their goal is for all babies
to be born healthy and stay healthy. Every day 70 babies are born in the UK
with a life-threatening condition or an illness that will affect them and their
families for life. Sparks aims to reduce this statistic so all children have
the chance of a healthy future.
Each month we will give you the chance to bid on Sparks’ charity auctions.
There are some fantastic prizes lined up - so be sure to keep checking our site
for these
‘once in a lifetime’ auctions.
