Auction FAQs

  1. How Do I Bid For An Item?
Once you have found an item of interest simply login and click the 'Bid' button to enter your bid.
Enter your bid price and, when you are sure you are happy with your bid, click the 'Submit' button.
Your bid will then be entered into the system, and will appear on the bid history immediately.
If you are the winning bidder at the end of the auction the item will automatically be placed in your basket for you to checkout, just the same as any regular purchase.
You will have 48 hours to do this before the item is removed and relisted.
  2. How Does Auto Bidding Work?
All auction items on Golfbidder operate under Auto-Bidding Rules - i.e. the bidding process is automated.
Simply enter the maximum you are prepared to pay and the system will bid on your behalf.
The system automatically ups your bid by the minimum bid increment - but only by as much as is required in order for you to be winning the lot.
In other words the system will attempt to minimize the amount you pay.
You will only lose the lot if someone bids more than your maximum - or bids equally but prior to your own bid - or if the maximum you are willing to pay is less than the reserve price.
If someone has bid more than your maximum, then this will immediately be shown on the product’s bid history and the other bidder will appear at the top as the winning bidder. In this instance, if you are happy to pay more, you will have to increase your maximum bid. You may increase your bid at any time.
  3. How can I change or cancel my bid?
You can only change your bid by increasing it. You may not cancel a bid. You can increase your bid at any time before the auction closes - simply visit the auction listing and place another bid
