Rose adopts 'low-key' approach to Augusta

TaylorMade golfer Justin Rose is hoping that a relaxed attitude to the Masters will lead to his first Major victory this week.

Writing in his column for the Times, the 28-year-old Englishman revealed that he is taking a "much more low-key" approach to the tournament this year.

Rose, whose best finish at Augusta is a joint-fifth in 2007, will not be accompanied by any family members and has decided to share a house with coach Nick Bradley during his stay in Georgia.

The world number 25 struggled for form last year and knows that he needs to be more consistent to win at Augusta.

"What is tending to happen now is that when I get some momentum going I make a mistake," Rose wrote in the Times.

"When things come together in all departments then I am up there, but I need more consistency and I am trying to make sure I do not get too frustrated."

Rose''s best performance so far this year came at the Dubai Desert Classic in February, when he finished second to Rory McIlroy.
