Norman expecting "the Tiger and Phil show"

Greg Norman has predicted that Nike golfer Tiger Woods and Callaway''s Phil Mickelson will dominate proceedings at the Masters next week.

The top two players in the world rankings will both head to Augusta in good form, with Woods winning the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week and Mickelson recently claiming his second victory of the season at the WGC-CA Championship.

Norman, who is set to make his first Masters appearance since 2002 next week, expects the two Americans to battle it out when the first Major of the season gets underway on Thursday April 9th.

"Next week it''s going to be the Tiger and Phil show because the golf course sets up perfectly for both those players," the 54-year-old said.

Although claiming that Woods currently holds the "mental edge" over Mickelson, Norman also suggested that the Augusta layout favours the world number two''s left-handed game.

"I''ve always said that Augusta National suits a left-hander easier than it does a right-hander, because a left-hander can hit his driver more places."

Mickelson''s two previous Masters victories came in 2004 and 2006, while Woods won the tournament in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005.
