Sam Torrance has been preparing for this week''s Estoril Open by playing golf with Tim Henman.
Like Torrance, the former tennis star is a member at Sunningdale in Berkshire and has impressed the 2002 Ryder Cup captain with his ability on the course.
"He''s very competitive and I''ve benefited from it. He breaks par every time virtually and has shot 66 round the New Course," Torrance explained.
The 55-year-old Scot, who will make a record 705th appearance in a European Tour event this week, even suggested that Henman could have a future on the Seniors Tour.
"He''s only 34 so he''s 16 years away from the Seniors Tour, but he could compete right now," Torrance said.
This week''s tournament at Oitavos Dunes in Portgual will be Torrance''s first event since winning on the Seniors Tour in Barbados last month.
He will then head to Augusta as part of the commentary team for the BBC''s Masters coverage.
