US pop star Jessica Simpson has become the latest high-profile figure to seek golf lessons.
According to internet reports, the 28-year-old singer is keen to learn golf as a way of spending more time with boyfriend Tony Romo, an American football star whose love of the sport is well known.
Simpson is even thought to have requested some help from the world''s number one golfer to get her started, but was politely turned down.
"Jessica is taking it seriously. She even asked if Tiger Woods would give her some pointers, but he''s been busy with his new baby," a source said.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Romo is a frequent participant in charity golf events and attempted to qualify for the US Open at Torrey Pines last year.
Last year, it was reported that actress Jessica Biel had been taking secret golf lessons in a bid to impress boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
