Tim Clark has carded a second-round 70 to top the leaderboard at the Australian Masters.
The South African managed just two birdies at Huntingdale Golf Club today (November 28th), but his score was good enough to maintain a single-stroke lead over Australian pair Anthony Summers (68) and Michael Sim, who hit a 66.
Meanwhile, John Daly''s tournament came to an abrupt end after the big-hitting American missed the cut, shooting a 73 to go with his first round score of 76.
Currently ranked number 53 in the world, Clark revealed he was slightly frustrated not to pick up more shots during the second round in Melbourne.
He said: "I had a lot more birdie chances and with the greens being softer [than yesterday] it was easier to get it closer, and I just didn''t make anything.
"I left a lot out there on the greens, but I''m still in a great position."
The Durban-born player finished second behind Callaway golfer Phil Mickelson at the 2006 Masters.
