This week''s Hong Kong Open will feature a rare appearance from 2008 Ryder Cup captain Nick Faldo.
It is the Taylor Made player''s first competitive start since the same event last year, and while the six-time major winner says he is happy to be back on the circuit he was quick to point out that a full-time playing return was not on the cards.
"I haven''t played since last year competitively and I think I''m struggling to get ten rounds of golf and probably ten hours of practice," he commented.
"It''s been a busy year this year obviously with television and Ryder Cup but I''m glad to be back out on the golf course for a bit of fun this week."
The Hong Kong Open has assumed added significance this year due to its status as an event which counts towards the Race to Dubai.
The leading 60 players in the race at the end of the season will qualify for the £5.6 million Dubai World Championship, due to be held for the first time in November 2009. |
