Dyson blames fatigue on Singapore failure

Simon Dyson has blamed his inability to sustain his challenge at the Barclays Singapore Open on fatigue, the York Press has reported.

An early leader, Nike player Dyson faded at the end although managed to finish in a still-credible tenth position.

However, Dyson believes he could have done better had the event not been affected by the weather.

"It was very tough," he told the newspaper.

"I''m so tired. It didn''t feel like it was my normal game. I normally like to attack stuff, but I was holding back a bit as I was tired."

Dyson, who won the Asian Tour''s Order of Merit in 2000, was only able to play 11 holes of his third round on the third day as rain stopped play.

As a result, he was forced to play 25 holes on the fourth day - and was unable to sustain his form.

Dyson was born in York and finished tied-sixth in the 2007 PGA Championship.
