Open champion Padraig Harrington has revealed he is already focusing on the 2009 season.
The Irishman has enjoyed the best year of his career, retaining the Claret Jug at Royal Birkdale before going on to win the US PGA Championship.
However, Wilson golfer Harrington believes he can still improve and told a press conference ahead of the PGA Grand Slam of Golf that he is working on his swing in the hope of seeing benefits next year.
"Work has to be done in your game at some stage, so you''ve got to take a chance at this time of the year that even though you''re making some changes, you might perform okay," he explained.
Harrington will face Masters champion Trevor Immelman, Jim Furyk and Retief Goosen in the exclusive Grand Slam event, which takes place at the Mid Ocean Club, Bermuda on October 14th and 15th.
Last year Harrington finished as runner-up to Argentina''s Angel Cabrera after missing the chance to close out victory on the final hole and losing the subsequent playoff. |
