No "great expectations" for Olazabal

Jose Maria Olazabal has said that his ambitions for this week''s Madrid Masters do not extend beyond making the cut.

The 42-year-old Spaniard will make the third injury comeback of his career at Club de Campo on Thursday, having not played competitively since June due to rheumatism problems.

Olazabal, who served as Nick Faldo''s vice captain at the Ryder Cup in Kentucky last month, told reporters that the Madrid tournament offers him a chance to test his fitness.

"My first target is to see if I can make the cut. I don''t have any great expectations," the two-time Masters champion said.

"This week I just want to test myself and see if my body can stand up to a tournament."

Olazabal is currently one of the favourites to captain Europe at the 2010 Ryder Cup in Wales, although he has claimed he would prefer to take part in the competition as a player.
