Golf legend Seve Ballesteros is said to be in a stable condition after briefly losing consciousness yesterday.
The 51-year-old Spaniard, who collapsed after complaining of dizziness, is undergoing tests at La Paz University Hospital in Madrid.
According to the Times, the Ballesteros family have asked the hospital not to release any more information about his condition.
Ballesteros was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat last year, when he retired from golf after a distinguished career as one of Europe''s finest players.
The five-time Major winner also struggled with an arthritic back and knee problems towards the end of his playing days.
When informed of Ballesteros'' condition at Turnberry yesterday, TaylorMade golfer Sergio Garcia was visibly shocked.
"It''s very sad for a man like Seve to have health problems. I hope it is not too serious," he said.
