John Daly is offering golf fans the chance to accompany him to next year''s Open Championship at Turnberry.
As part of an online auction taking place at charityfolks.com, the 42-year-old American has pledged to take three guests to the tournament in Scotland, travelling by private jet and staying in his private villa.
Proceeds from the auction, which promises a "good time" with one of professional golf''s most notoriously unorthodox characters, will go towards St. Jude Children''s Hospital in Tennessee and the autism education program at Western Kentucky University''s Clinical Education Complex.
Asked what the winning bidder can expect from the trip, Daly told the Associated Press: "They will get an idea of how hard it is what we do and they''ll understand things people read and hear about John Daly aren''t always true."
The three guests will also have the opportunity to play 18 holes with their host, as well as receiving clubhouse passes for the event at Turnberry.
Daly won the Open at St Andrews in 1995, when he beat Italy''s Costantino Rocca in a playoff. He also triumphed as a rookie at the 1991 US PGA Championship.
