This week''s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship will see a host of famous faces demonstrate their golfing prowess on three of Scotland''s most prestigious courses.
As well as being an individual competition between top professional golfers, the event also functions as a team game in which players better known for their activities off the golf course are paired up with a pro.
Former tennis star Tim Henman is set to tee off with Yonex golfer Colin Montgomerie at Kingsbarns this morning, while Jamie Redknapp will play with TaylorMade''s Justin Rose.
Henman, a member of Sunningdale with a handicap of two, told the Scotsman that playing at some of the most famous courses in links golf was "heaven".
"I''ve not played in Scotland before, but I''m making up for it now," the 34-year-old said.
At St Andrews, Johan Edfors will tee off alongside Hollywood star Luke Wilson, while Stephen Gallacher has been paired with former US vice president Dan Quayle.
Other actors putting their golf skills to the test this week include Samuel L Jackson and Hugh Grant, while sports legends such as Sir Bobby Charlton and Sir Ian Botham are also in the field.
