Villegas wins again at East Lake

A sudden death playoff victory over TaylorMade golfer Sergio Garcia saw Cobra''s Camilo Villegas clinch his second straight PGA Tour title in Atlanta yesterday.

Both players finished seven under par in the season-closing Tour Championship, but Villegas came out on top by hitting a par three at the first extra hole, while Garcia could only manage a bogey.

Leading by five strokes going into the final day at East Lake, the Spaniard was powerless to stop Villegas catching up with a superb five-under-par 66.

The 26-year-old Colombian player has now won the last two PGA Tour events, having also triumphed at the BMW Championship in St Louis three weeks ago.

Ryder Cup team-mates Anthony Kim and Phil Mickelson shared third place in Atlanta, with both players closing with 69s to finish six under.

Vijay Singh tied for 22nd in the 30-man field, but still clinched the FedEx Cup after winning the first two playoff events.
