Singh targets second FedEx Cup win

After clinching victory at The Barclays tournament last week, Cleveland golfer Vijay Singh heads to TPC Boston in confident mood.

The Fijian now tops the FedEx Cup points list and is on course for the $10 million (£5.4 million) first prize, although he is aware that a below-par performance in Massachusetts this week will see his lead vanish.

"I''ve got a great start and I just have to go ahead and play hard," Singh told reporters ahead of the Deutsche Bank Championship.

"The guys behind me, the way the system works now, the next guy that wins can just overtake you."

Last week, The Barclays concluded in dramatic fashion when Singh emerged triumphant from a three-way playoff with TaylorMade''s Sergio Garcia and Ping golfer Kevin Sutherland.

The top 70 on the points list after this week''s event will qualify for the third FedEx Cup playoff, the BMW Championship, which begins in St Louis on September 4th.
